Police Department Promotions:
Lieutenant Ralph Palmer
Lieutenant Ralph Palmer was hired as a part-time Police Patrol Officer in October, 1994 and became a full-time Officer in February 1995. He served two years in the Community Policing Division until his promotion to Master Police Officer in the Operations Division in December 1998. Lt. Palmer has received many commendations for his professionalism and dedication to his job. It’s easy to understand why we are proud to announce his recent promotion to Lieutenant in April of this year.
Sergeant Chris Ohalek
Sergeant Chris Ohalek was hired as a Police Patrol Officer in November, 1991. Throughout his career, Sgt. Ohalek has been complimented for his exceptional performance, leadership capability and contributions to the Police Department by being a positive role model for his fellow workers. In October 1998, Sgt. Ohalek received his K-9 Certification and has been serving as our only K-9 Handler ever since. Even though Chris was promoted to Sergeant in April of this year, he will still perform his K-9 duties with Alix by his side.
